Updates...

Was busy all around the month and it is now time for the updates! ^^ Forgot all bout the dates, so it'll be on the details only~ =x

First Update:

Trip to Genting

I wouldn't say it was the nicest trip but it was indeed refreshing to head up to Genting Highlands for some fresh air. Thanks dearie for the day! And sorry for something only you & me know~ Hehe..

Thanks to the girls who took the picture...

Love da picture!

Met some friends who were working there...

Second Update:

Pre-Mother's Day Celebration

It was a few days before the Mother's Day that we decided to visit this place called 'Food Garden by the sea' located in Sepang Goldcoast. Food was so-so but the ambiance's nice, perfect place for couples. After dinner, we took a walk around the area and there's a beach there. Took some pictures and went home as it was getting late. The place is kinda hard to find, especially without a GPS. Thanks to a very thoughtful blogger, he provided the exact coordinates of the dining place.

[Grilled Prawns, Squids, Fishes, etc.]

We were that hungry.. =x

For individuals looking for great food, this might not be the perfect place for you. But if you're looking for a romantic ambiance, this place is not bad.. ^^ Just that it's a little far from the city.

GPS Coordinates:

Location:
No 67, Jalan Pantai Bagan Lalang,
kampung Bagan Lalang,

Selangor Darul Ehsan,
Malaysia.

Third Update:

Friends Gathering

It was actually a small friend gathering with dearie's ex-colleagues. Had a good meal at Rendezvous Steak Garden Restaurant located near Kampung Pandan. Food is quite good for its affordable price. What made the day special is my haircut, it's much shorter if you noticed. I couldn't stand the attention I have to give on my hair and decided to cut it short. Good thing is, I weight slightly lighter! Woohoo~!

Fourth Update:

Biggest Day of Every Year: Dearie's Birthday

It was such a shame that I didn't prepare much for dearie's birthday this year. Sorry dear, I'm gonna make sure each and every one ahead's gonna be a blast! We had a barbeque party at dearie's home and invited his closest friends. Was a great night with a lot of laughter and food. Happy Birthday to dearie once again and all the best in everything you do! I'll always be supporting no matter what you're up to. x3

The Birthday Boy doing his stuffs and me sticking my head out of the gateway...
Know why? Do search for the black figure near to the gate =x

Having fun
[Things noteworthy: I wore the top that dearie got for me from China for the first time!]

Last/Fifth Update:

KPMG-ian Gathering

It was Jonathan's last day of internship in KPMG. Hey Jonathan, if you see this, I did fulfill my promise ya! ^^ We had him a farewell party at TGI Fridays in 1u a.k.a OU (usually described by KPMG-ians). Indicates that I've already left KPMG for more than a month, approx. 1 month and a week. Still misses my colleagues - Serene Long, Jonathan Liew, Ivan Goh, Sze Bing, Praevin, Kah Ling, Jessica Lee, Dennis and so many more. Hehe, please don't mind me if I forget to include your name. Cause there is too many to be remembered! ^^ I'm gonna miss you guys soooooo much! All the best in life guys!

Dearie - Dennis - Jonathan - Girls - Sze Bing - Me - Hot Chick
(Sorry for my short-term memory)

The KPMG-ians from another side...

I miss those worry-free days even though they were not very long ago cause I'm currently very stressed out with the fact that I'm actually in my 2nd year of Advanced Diploma. Everything's so different now but I'm gonna make it happen like how my lecturer said: "Now, you have no life, but after passing your ACCA exams, you're gonna have a lot of life". To my mates striving with me now, all the best! And to my beloved friend Ching Li, all the best to you too! Let's make things happen together~ Thank you dearie for all the support you give me and lastly my Family, who plays the most important role in my life. Dad, I miss you too. Thank you. Without you guys, I wouldn't know where would I end up to be. Lots of loves to all and you reading my blog!

Wow, so influential! Thanks Mr. Huai~ XD

The day that sucked...

Wake up in the morning, found out that bro left his docs at home. So I had to drive all the way to KL City to hand them over. It was okay but the journey sucked big time. Had several mistakes in directions, rounded around KL City (officially lost in KL). When I finally reach (and I wasn't even in front of the building), I thought that's the end of my "suay-ness", totally wrong.

On the way to pick dearie up, got hit by a stupid big-sized cab and I didn't even break to cause that. My car didn't even move a tiny bit and still he hit over. My advice: Go home & have some rest if you're sleepy. =.=" Luckily it was only scratches. Fine, leave it.

Went home, had some rest and then headed out, which was less than an hour before I type this post and hell ya I'm still bursting with anger because of that idiotic fatso uncle. Argghh!! I'm still very much feeling the fire around me. So, what happened? I was in the middle lane and Mr. Fatso was in the left lane. I attempted to go to the third lane but then had to remain in the second lane as there were too many bikes and cars. And what did Mr. Fatso did? He honked at me and showed me fingers. WTH! How am I supposed to see you coming when you're at the back and especially being in the first lane. Even if I did, am I supposed to bang others so that you don't bang me? IDIOT! Another showing of fingers and I was gonna make a full break and let him kiss my ass. My favourite quote: "Go take a helicopter instead if you wanna fly". Arrrgghhh!

IM2(s)

FYI, IM2(s) stand for Iron Man 2 and Ip Man 2. Watched both of em' in 2 consecutive days and they were superb! Both were action-packed with some laughters. Best moment for the Iron Man 2 - "The Ex-Wife Moment". Everyone in the cinema LOL-ed, great moment! Best moment for the Ip Man 2 - "Every Moment". For me, Ip Man 2 was too good to be criticized. The comedy part, the anger part, the action part, everything! Not a show to be missed.. Craving for part 3 already! Bruce Lee? 0.o The next movie of attraction: "A Nightmare on Elm Street".

Unplanned Workout - 2 May 2010

It's a family day with no planning at all but it turned out well. Initially, our 'plan' was to go for "Loh Min" in Ulu Yam. Almost ended in a chicken rice stall where most of us gave the look 0.o But I guess it wasn't our lucky day. Had the 'less yummy' noodle and believe me, you wouldn't wanna have a look at the kitchen.. =.=" No amazement = no pictures!

Okay, after the meal, we were supposed to head to some waterfall which I don't even know the name cause we didn't even get to reach there. Drove in circles, trying to search for the nearest waterfall with our GPS. Despite the lil problems, it was actually kinda useful. We stopped at a few waterfall spots and there was this one spot with scammers. STUPID SCAMMERS!! It's known as something "Sungai Kanching", which dearie had a better name - "Sungai Kencing" (Pee River 0.o). So, why do I call them scammers? We didn't even wanna go to that stupid drain and were actually looking for Templer's Park. They collected fees per head count saying that the place is the one we're looking for. The place was omfg which looked more like a drain to me and they call it a waterfall.. For god's sake.. =.=" Forget it, it was a sunk cost.

Templer's Park was further down. Ah hah! The workout begins here. Mistake for the day, my attire. I was wearing a red tee, a short pants and SANDALS and I went for hiking. Swt! It was a great workout though. The hike was more than half an hour before we reach to a waterfall spot we want. Dearie looked as if he jumped into the water even before he did, all soaked up with sweat. Haha! So cute~

Nice workout eh? Photos from aunt still pending T_T Hope to get it from her soon for updates. Our great day ended with a great meal, forgot the area though but the restaurant is called "Restoran Lit Heong". Tasted great and the price was affordable. ^^

Girls Day Out on 30/04/10...

30th April 2010 - Had great moments with my girls: Meii, Ching Li & San~

Headed out in the morning and gathered at Meii's place before going to Times Square. Sushi King for brunch and had a very nice chat. ^^

Done chit-chatting and it's time for some shopping! Three of us strolled around while waiting for San's arrival and our K-Session. Went in our K-Box @ around 3p.m. and basically it seemed more like a chatting session rather than a k-session. We had fun though, updating on each others' stuffs.

San - Ching Li - Me - Meii

We then headed to Sweet Chat for something sweet. Me myself had Durian Pancakes and enjoyed them very much cause I've been loving it since I was a kid, influenced by my dad. ^^ Yes, it smells strong but once you get to like it, it's paradise! Ching Li had her mango thing (forgot the name =x), San had her Sago Cendol and Meii had a drink. Continued our girl chat~ It was a great day and I'm missing you girls already!!

Spending a day out...

Had some Campbell's Clam Chowder soup this morning. It was okay but of course, the soup from Alexis was way far ahead. XD Another great food to recommend. Had the one in Alexis with my dearie, that's why it was extra delicious! ^^ Haha, 'sai meng' (show-off)!

So, in the afternoon, we went to Batu Caves, one of the travel spots in KL. There were a lot, i really mean A LOT of monkeys... I didn't wanna climb up the stairs initially, looking at all the monkeys. I ain't a big fan of monkeys cause MONKEY SCRATCHES you know! Fortunately, there were quite 'civilized'. Phew! So, we got ourselves up and looked around. Took some pictures and left, again surrounded by monkeys. =.=" Upon reaching the bottom, I saw a dog on the street and told dearie, "If each and every of the monkeys we saw earlier were dogs, I would not even think of going up". Loved his smile.

It took, thousands of years maybe?

A small praying area on the top of Batu Caves

Some kind of praying ceremony

Taken by dearie, nice view huh? ^^

After the tiring moments, it was then time for lunch! We went for some Indian food at the bottom of the Batu Caves. There were rice, veggies and different kinds of sauces. The Rasam soup (recommended by dearie) was nice and the same goes for Poppadom (a thin Indian bread flavored with different spices).

After lunch, we headed back to dearie's home for some rest and then later returned home with a very warm welcome! The picture below was taken from within the car, the sky looks so beautiful with the touch of the rays of the sun. Perfect scene! It's a beautiful day~~

A warm welcome home

My tea break for the day... =x

Had some streaky bacon for tea break today, or should I even call it a tea break? =x Bought them from the supermarket the other day. Had a few without any seasonings before this and decided to add some for today. I sprinkled some Black Pepper & Rosemary Herbs and it was simply marvelous! I'm planning to prepare some potatoes for the next feast and see how well it'll complement each other. *Grins*

Before the heat #1

In the process of heating

After the heat = Yummy time

Haha, well, this is kinda too simple to prepare, isn't it? Love the satisfaction when it melts in my mouth though. Evil evil! ^^ Gonna update more when I serve them with my favorite potatoes! Till then~

Aching Muscles - Part 2

Not only my muscles still ache, my shoulders too are burnt by the flaming sun. The burning sensation is killing me! These personal pictures are taken with my NDSi XL, and it's not too bad.

Have a look on both sides of my shoulders.

The worse side of my shoulders.. Ouch!

I was supposed to bring my sunblock but sad to say, I forgot about it. Applied a friend's sunblock lotion at the beginning of the day, but then it wasn't effective enough. I bought mine for my previous trip to Pulau Pangkor. It is the best sunblock ever! Believe it or not, you would not even feel the heat of the sun after applying it onto your skin. No tans, no nothing!

The best Sunblock ever!
Neutrogena's Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock

I've got the photos with me now. Thanks to Kuan Ming & Aaron for the photos! I had a very wonderful day and would always remember the date 17/04/2010. Love the smiles on each and every of their faces. I wish you kids all the best in life! ^^

Aching Muscles...

Went for a charity event yesterday and today, I'm like half-dead. XD So, it was @ Desa Water Park and the event was made specially for orphans from Puchong. It was indeed a very great experience to be one of the participators. Friends I've met there were all very friendly and obviously, they own a very pure heart. First glance at the kids, there was a sore feeling in my heart, looking at kids ranging from the age of 14 months to 22 years old and some were very cute. I do not know the story behind each and every one of them, but for me, I think it's a loss to their parents who abandoned them. Anyway, with people like the organizer, the world becomes a much prettier place to live in. Thank you! I'm still waiting for the photos though, and so, there will be "Aching Muscles - Part 2" ^^

Cure for Gastric (Heartburn & Acid Indigestion)

I have been having gastric for many years now. Every single time I do not eat on time, gastric strikes and it would not go off till I rest on my bed at night. A really sad thing to say, I've tried many ways from Chinese herbal powder, milk and some medicine in the market to cure this but nothing seems to work. One day when I was out with my boyfriend, I had the same thing. As my boyfriend doesn't really encourage me to take medication so that I wouldn't be dependent on it, we looked for alternatives. When we about to give up, we kinda unintentionally bought this drink, a mangosteen drink by Marigold if I'm not mistaken. I had some and in less than 15 minutes, the pain was gone and I thought, hey, this must be something. It looks like this:

Today, my boyfriend had the same thing and I don't know why but he mentioned something related to "smell". 0.o He wasn't suppose to have this illness but then it happened. So I thought we should give it a try once again and guess what, it worked! So, for people out there who are consistently searching for a cure for gastric/heart burn/acid digestion, you can might as well try this thingy here. I'm not too sure if it's available in every corner of the earth, but I think you can at least try some other mangosteen related product. As I've had this illness with me for so long, I understand the pain, the burning sensation and so I hope this works for you too!

Before and After Makeup...

I've recently watched a video on facebook and it's a TV Show from Taiwan. It really shows how powerful makeup can be and how it can change a lady's life tremendously. For me, I don't really mind as long as it makes you pretty. But somehow, some people dislike the fact that makeup does make you prettier despite the damage it does to your skin. Here's the video I was talking about.

Can you see the difference?! 0.o It's like a different person when they compare from the left to the right. And yeah, Taiwanese ladies' makeup skills are as good as Japanese ladies. How I wish I had such skills. Ooopss! =x Haha, for business maybe? Cause I can't imagine using so much time on makeup every single day, cleansing them and sleep with a different face every night. Kinda extreme but I do admire the skills they possess. Salute!

Glued to computers...

Have been working my whole day on html/css stuffs. Still in the progress of learning but enjoying the after-work satisfaction. Thanks to the angels out there, I'm able to add some new features into my blog. Big thanks to my boyfriend too! ^^

I have just received an invitation from a friend, my ex-colleague to be exact, to join them for a friend's farewell dinner. Really happy to feel remembered, thanks a lot Kah Ling! Talking bout work, it reminded me of the past two months. It's tough, but to be able to meet so many friends there, it brings back my smile. I would like to thank a few of my friends who have made these two months even more memorable than it should have been: Serene Long, Kah Ling, Jessica, Darren, Liyana, Jonathan, Sze Bing, Yew Han, Praveen, Farahliza and more in the list. It was indeed a very great experience to be able to work and spend my days with you guys. Honestly, I enjoy my working life more than my college life. Looking forward to the days I'd be permanently working, hoping that I would meet people like those I've met during my past 2 months.

Currently enjoying the videos which my boyfriend posted on youtube. Do support if you're a fan of music as he's real good in piano (that's how we met XD).Here's the link to his youtube channel: www.youtube.com/user/makhonkit. For tutorials and more, do visit the link I've posted under the "Music for your Ears" section. Enjoy and au revoir! ^^

From scratch once again...

A new fresh page it is! I've decided to blog once again due to the influence of someone very special to me. It's a weekday and yet I'm home, in front of the glowing box. Guess what, I've just finished my internship in one of the big four audit firms (honestly, it did help a lot, especially in helping me decide what to do in days to come XD). Has been working for the past 2 months, had some very good experience and felt good about it.

So, what now? Time to relax and enjoy my very own NDSi XL, a.k.a. NDSi LL for the Japan users. Obviously, XL means extra large and trust me, it is really XL. Previously, I owned a NDS Lite but due to some circumstances, it wasn't mine anymore. So, I decided to buy a brand new one after my intern ends and I did. Today, when I was strolling around The Mines Shopping Mall, I got my hands on the NDS Lite and gosh, what a difference! It looked so tiny and seriously, the screen... *swt* Here are some pictures to show the difference.

The new NDSi XL is available in three colors for now. The colors would be Wine Red, which is the one shown on top, Dark Brown or Bronze and Natural White. As for me, I'm not a big fan of the wine red version, I took the bronze version. It has a glossy look on the upper side which is nice but requires extra attention as you would not want any scratches on it. Basically, the NDSi XL comes with a few pre-installed titles such as the Brain Age Express: Math, the Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters and the Photo Clock which comes in pretty handy.

NDS Games I would recommend:
  • Rune Factory - A Fantasy Harvest Moon [My all-time favorite, game based on farming and relationships. Might be a little dull for guys though.]
  • Rune Factory 2 - A Fantasy Harvest Moon [The 2nd episode for Rune Factory.]
  • Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles - Echoes of Time [As always, Square Enix never fails to impress.]
  • Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles - Ring of Fates
  • Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box [Puzzle-based game, for those who would want their mind occupied. ]
  • Scribblenauts [A game with very nice concept, where you can draw whatever you can think of into the game itself to solve the puzzle.]
  • Kingdom Hearts - 368-2 days [I have not personally tried this game, but it has very good ratings.]
  • Ace Attorney Investigations - Miles Edgeworth [Story based on an attorney solving crime cases, trying to search for flaws in testimonials given and connect logic.]
  • Harvest Moon - Sunshine Island [Another Harvest Moon game, but there's some difficulty with the controls, mainly with stylus. Cute graphic though ^.^]
  • My Japanese Coach [A good start towards mastering the Japanese language.]
  • Personal Trainer - Cooking [Not to be called a game, but a recipe book. Comes in quite handy.]
  • Style Savvy [Fashion-based game, basically operating your own boutique. Not recommended for guys. XD]
  • There's even more... [Upcoming Releases: Ninokuni, Harvest Moon: Wind of Bazaar...]

It may seem a little too brief for what I've written but I will definitely try to make better reviews on the NDS games in days to come. For owners who love their NDS, there are some very useful accessories available in the market to protect your gadget which includes the screen protector (HORI would be the best), NDS casing, air-foam pouch cases, etc. Have been with my NDSi XL for about 2 weeks and is very glad that I got myself one as there's music player, camera and gaming all-in-one!
